Simon’s primary focus has been in energy market modelling. Since joining Frontier Economics, he has worked on a range of projects, providing econometrics, modelling support, and data analysis.
At university, he acted both as a tutor and research assistant. In the latter case, using his skills in applied statistics and econometrics to aid researchers in the Business School. He has a keen interest in applied economics and has experience in modelling data as can be seen in his honours thesis on government expenditure in China, his work as a research assistant and his current work in the Frontier energy area.
Simon obtained first class honours in Commerce (majoring in Economics) from the University of Western Australia in 2014 and was awarded the UWA Graduates Association Prize in Economics for the Second Year, achieving the highest aggregate mark in the second year of the BEc.
When not at work, Simon enjoys watching and playing almost any sport.
