Eshan is an economist in Frontier Economics’ energy and regulation practices.
He provides advice on a broad range of microeconomic issues in economic regulation. Eshan has particular expertise in the development and audit of models across regulated industries, with a focus on the energy industry. He is also involved in the design, implementation and use of market models, including the Frontier Economics suite of energy models.
Eshan enjoys working closely with clients to communicate analytically grounded advice simply and clearly, especially for projects requiring econometric analysis. Recently, he has been providing econometric advice on a range of competition and market power issues in the supermarket industry for the New Zealand Commerce Commission.
Prior to joining Frontier Economics, Eshan worked as a tutor and research assistant in the departments of Economics and Econometrics at Monash University. He is also a current Master of Econometrics student at Monash University.
