Charlie Goodlad

Biography

Charlie is an economist at Frontier Economics who works principally within our energy and financial services practices. His expertise is in providing commercial and regulatory economic modelling and advice.

Prior to joining Frontier Economics, Charlie worked as a consultant at Endgame Analytics providing modelling and advisory services to clients in electricity and gas sectors.

He holds degrees in finance and economics from The University of Sydney and is currently a candidate for Level 2 of the Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) program.

Energy economics

Charlie provides market insight analysis in the National Electricity Market (NEM) and East Coast Gas Market, working with governments, regulators and market participants. The scope of his work includes:

Financial & commercial advisory

Charlie provides financial and commercial economics advisory services to corporate clients, investors and developers. This includes:

  • Undertaking asset valuations (e.g., mines, regulated infrastructure)
  • Advising on the commercial viability and financial risk of new projects (e.g. for Recycling Victoria)
  • Preparing market and regulatory due diligence to support transactions
  • Evaluating risk management programs (e.g. for CS Energy)

Charlie supports regulated entities in developing pricing proposals and regulators in evaluating these proposals. This includes:
